Helium3 Design improve the safety and wellbeing of leading MOD defence manufacturer's operators

Helium3 are proud to announce the successful delivery of 45 enclosures & respective trolleys designed and produced for the storage and transportation of hazardous materials.

Looking to improve the safety and wellbeing of their staff, the client approached Helium3 to conceptualise and detail develop a new system to reduce the level of manual handling during manufacture.

Helium3 project manager James Turner comments, "Committed to minimising the risk to staff, numerous solutions were developed and reviewed by the operators themselves. Valuable feedback from trials using physical prototypes and careful consideration of intrinsic and demanding environmental constraints have shaped the design as it stands now".

Following the design phase, Helium3 were commissioned to manage the manufacture and delivery within a very tight time frame. A final production unit was showcased at this year’s Subcon event at the NEC Birmingham, and a further 30 units have since been requested.
