Wembley Stadium Arch

The Steel arch - 315 metres long, 133m high and permanently fixed at an angle of 68 degrees from the horizontal. The arch is the most striking and highly visible feature of the new stadium. Sitting above the North Stand, it supports the weight of the longest single roof structure in the world.

In minutes, the arch height, length, diameter, tilt angle and the dimensions of all structural steelwork could be modified in line with any future design changes. This approach offers huge advantages in design flexibility over conventional X-Steel, AutoCAD and Microstation modelling techniques.
